The constant shift from one holiday to the next! Seeing family members that you do not see any other time, the holiday smells throughout the house, the festive spirit of the stores and other homes, all the cooking, the anticipation of gifts, and the spirit of the season.

Cold snowy days, where you just spend some time crunching your way through a fresh snow fall, and then your nose gets cold and numb, and your speech gets a little delayed because your face is so cold, and then you come inside and put all your snowy clothes over the heater vent and sit in front of the window with a toasty mug of hot chocolate and some sugar cookies and bits n' bites and look at the snow, listen to some Christmas music, and snuggle into your clean, dry clothes. That's Christmas.

Being with my family. Hanging out with friends. Shopping for my family. Walking in the snow, especially after a fresh snowstorm. Christmas is my favorite winter holiday also, it is fun to see my family together at this time of the year.

I love winter period...but Christmas and family coming together is wonderful! I live in an area where we are guaranteed snow every year, and alot of it, and I love it. I love all of the Christmas music, like one of my favorite songs is I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas...I love the smells, the food, the happiness that it brings!

I love the whole Christmas season! I love being out in the crowds shopping for gifts. I love the Christmas music that plays in the stores and on the radio. I love being with family and friends. I love cooking the special "holiday" recipes that I only make at Christmas time. I love going to special holiday programs and church and at school. And -- I love wearing sweaters and going out into the cold weather to sing Christmas carols!
I love all of our family traditions that go along with the holidays.
Most of all -- I love celebrating the birth of Christ and what it means to all of humanity!

Christmas and New Years because we spent our time with familly and friends. It's great to be together. We make a lot of food and cookies and we always have guests. In Roumania children are singing in every house, in the day before Christmas and it's giving u such a nice feeling....

Christmas. Every year, we bake a birthday cake for baby Jesus and that's what we have for dessert at Christmas dinner. Just trying to keep the real reason in perspective. We do all the other tranditional stuff too.
