We just bought one for $160.00 from Radio Shack. It words great! Don't remember the brand tho. :o(
While in the dead of night my hubby was driving and the thing went off and went crazy. He later realized that a maroon under-cover police car had his radar fixed on him for a while.
Shew!!!
Other times, we found out that the reason why the detector would go wild when we could not see a cop is because the under-cover car that was passing us had his radar on us as well.
Needless to say, we like our detector!!

They are pricey, but if you don't have the built in "butt dyno" that tells you roughly how fast you are going without having to look at the speedo, they are the only name you need to consider. They don't really have a retail store presence, but you can buy directly from their website.

go to circut city and look at the beltronics ones. its allabotu bands which are the different laser types cops are using to catch u so get the one with the most bands
