It's supposed to be 14 days after your period is when you ovulate, but all women are different and you can get pregnant just about anytime if you're not careful.

The cycle starts the first day of bleeding.
There are better ways to chart fertility than counting as not everyone has a regular cycle. Please remember that these methods are probably better for those who need help conceiving as opposed to those who want effective birth control. Sperm can live for a few days in the cervix.

a woman is most fertile 7 to 10 days after the last day of her period... say your period ended on the 8th of the month... you'll be most fertile the 15th thru the 17th.

No. Ovulation occours in the middle portion of your monthly cycle. There are rare occasions when sexual intercourse is putting her on an extreme high, she may ovulate spontaneously. Have fun but don't get caught!
