You won't see him on the field again any time soon (OK, probably never!), but you don't have to miss him completely - he's sitting right next to the generally appalling Cris Collinsworth every Sunday night on NBC's Sunday Night Football. I look forward to Bettis needling the obviously anti-Steelers Collinsworth on a weekly basis! : D

I definitely miss the Bus, and the Steelers are missing him too because it looks like Duce Staley (who was supposed to fill Bettis' shoes) may get cut. He has provided so many great moments for the Steelers like last season when he ran over Brian Urlacher for a touchdown against the Bears. He also had some great moments with Notre Dame. I remember his touchdown catch against Penn State in 1992 with 20 seconds left that gave the Irish the chance to win the game with a 2-point conversion. And who could forget his touchdown runs against Steve Spurier's heavily favored Gators. Oh yes, the Bus will be missed. The Bus will be missed a lot...

JB should run for mayor of the 'Burgh. He was a great team leader & filled his role on the field perfectly. Not many players are willing to take a pay cut & reduced playing time just for a chance to play on a winning team with a shot at the "Bowl" like JB did. He's a class act & a fan favorite. -----------But, the Steelers WILL survive!

I'm not a Steelers fan but the bus was a class act and we don't have enough class acts in the NFL.

Miss him yes, but we'll be fine without him. He had a very limited role in last season. So don't listen to the nay sayers, who say Pittsburgh is done without him.

Why would anyone miss the bus. Hes a good Running back, but he would have been better as a defensive end or somewhere on the offensive line. Now people like Ladamian Tomilson, and Shaun Alexander, those are the guys you can build a team around, how do you think the seahawks won the superbowl?

I usually read the printed schedule so that I'm at the stop early. If you're missing the bus, you should do some more homework.
