I read in class 11. I have been selected to go for a trip to Europe in October for cultural exchange. My problem is that my competitor is jealous of me and speaks nonsense to other people about my trip. She says that was amore eligible candidate , but actually she doesn't even know to speak English fluently. She acts as if we are very good friends and says nothing to me. What should I do?

Some people are jealous for what they didn't get themselves...she seems that way....there isn't anything you need to do except enjoy your trip and be a good representative from which you belong to.

From your writing it looks like you don't have a perfect command of the English language so she could be right there. Maybe you were chosen because you will know the language where you are going and that could be a plus on your side. You should find out if that is true and start telling the people she talks to the real story of what is going on. Otherwise, don't listen to what people say. If you were selected it was probably by vote and you had nothing to do with that. Even though she says nothing to you maybe you could bring up the subjec nicely and ask her why she is speaking nonsense to people and why she feels that way. it's always best to clear the air...good luck

Oh, she is SOOO jealous of you, and is now wishing she had paid better attention in English classes, I'm sure! She is taking out her regret, anger, resentment, and "should-haves" on you, rather than herself.

Look at it this way: if it wasn't you, it would be whoever else won the spot that you won. She is negative towards anyone who gets to do something she does not.

People can see right through her. Ignore her. This is yoru opportunity! Congratultiosn!

i would say u just confront her and get it sorted out. that way u'll know if what they r saying is true or not... if u wanna try another, dirtier tactic, jus spread a worser rumour about her... :-) in any case, take things light..
