and the vegan had a gun...would they choose to Kill the animal who was ready to attack...or Die because they don't believe that animals should be killed? The animal just wants to eat so is he wrong for wanting to eat a human?

The mountain lion would be in the right for just wanting to survive.
As for the vegan, I think it would depend on what type of person it was. Honestly, I think many vegans would not pull the trigger and try and fight the animal off physicly. Some of them would be killed. Many vegans would kill the mountain lion. However, they would probably need months of therapy afterwards.

The vegan could easily kill the animal, they just wouldn't eat the animal. I never heard a vegan say no killing of animals, and self-defense is a natural defense. The animal is not wrong for wanting to eat a human, the human not wrong for preventing that from happening.

No, the animal is not wrong.
We eat animals for meat that are fed vegetarian diets. It makes no difference.
I imagine one of them will eventually kill the other for food. Even Vegans will eat meat if they're starving.

You are what you eat, so vegans are made up of fruits and vegetables. The mountain would not have much interest in eating the vegan, despite it's hunger as lions are carnivores.
