I heard a fellow sufferer on tv say, that, now when he goes shopping kids dont say why's that man like that, they say that man's got the same as Pete from BB. So i suppose it has made the condition more accepted & known about.

i think of this is backfired on great Brother. i'm getting the effect, from the form of teach that it somewhat is, they might desire to have a minimum of one debatable character in the abode each and each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, some thing this isn't any longer been completed previously. This 3 hundred and sixty 5 days it became into Pete and his tourettes yet quite than create friction with all the different inmates they warmed to him right away and been somewhat supportive on his off days. no longer the cheap laughs they probably concept they had get.

According to the television they have recieved lots of mail from people who either suffer from it or have family that do, and they were all to thank him for bringing awareness to this awful affliction and as one man said he can go shopping now and children with their mums dont laugh at him they say oh look mummy that man is like Pete off BB. So if nothing else these people are getting a bit more understanding and hopefully have a better quality of life thanks to Pete may god bless them all.

I think he has helped kind of, I think some of his swearing and noises may have been put on a bit for the camera but other than that I think he did help Tourettes Sufferers.

in my opinion he can only have helped as he has raised awareness of the syndrome and people have been able to see first hand what it involves before big brother i had never met anyone with it and now i feel as though i understand it a little more and i take my hat of to Pete he was a very brave person to put himself in the public spotlight

He has probably heightened awareness of the condition. I am not a fan of Pete to be honest, I found him to be quite sly, acting up to the cameras and very changeable, but I do think that he has helped sufferers in some ways.

I believe it has helped people who suffer from tourettes, As people now have a understanding about them. I know that some people find it offencive but how can it be offencive if they cannot help the way they are.

In some respects I think it's helped because younger people might think Pete's cool and so it makes it a bit more cool if a class mate has it.
However, how many kids do you think were twitching and shouting 'w*nk*rs' at school whilst BB was on??
