try to find a national forest and release it there... hunting is prohibited there, but even if you release it somewhere that humans cant get to it, other animals can and probably will, you raised it?? if it acts like a pet then it wont survive in the wild, if you really dont want it to be killed, get the dumb liscence to keep it or find a zoo or sumthin like that to give the deer to...
good luck and God Bless!!

You RAISED a DEER? And you want to release it into the WILD? You think it will be safe? Deer living in the wild are subjected to NATURE. They starve, they get run down by coyotes, they get CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease). Hunters are the LEAST of your worries.
The chances of it get shot at by a hunter is dependent on the area and the skill of the hunter. Not EVERYONE who goes deer hunting gets a deer. Ask ANY deer hunter.
Ask your local Game Warden, If the deer has been fed and cared for, it won't know how to survive in the wild. Throwing this "BEAUTIFUL THING" out into the wild would be more cruel than a hunter getting it in the fall. I'm suprised you were allowed to LEGALLY "raise" a deer.

There is nothing you can do about it after you release it. The animal has not been trained to survive in the wild...it may not know how to avoid predators, find food, and will probably be shot in the first hunting season. Sorry to be so pessimestic, but you have done all you can do. This animal is growing very fast, does NOT make a good pet, cannot be contained, and will damage a lot of stuff if you try to keep it any longer. Release it in a woods OUTSIDE of hunting season. Good luck

Kill him and send the meat to a store fer money. Deers are all over, so why don't you rid the world of another very annoying brown zebra.

My guess is that it might be tough. Can you call a private individual for advice - someone who takes care of injured and abandoned wild baby animals? I don't know how old your deer is or how young she was when she came to you.

this will be bad for the deer its too use to human contact you might want to contact wild animal shelters so they can take it. since once an animal is use to human presence they no longer fear humans it makes them easy targets.

I would take it pretty far into the woods. Even doing that, a hunter is bound to find it sooner or later. Sorry.

Look for a state park...it won't be shot, but it could still be hit...you couldn't teach it that unfortunately...
