I asked a question regarding a bully who follows christ. Obviously asking about conflicting terms equals evil. So I have come to the reality based people to get an answer.

What is another word for a bully, who is a good person?

I know the traits of a bully, and I know the traits of a push over. They can both be great people who do things for their community.

What is the word?

limendoz you get what I'm asking. Obviously you have been in an abusive relationship before though, so your answer has the damaged goods mindset.

If your past boyfriend ever made you feel incredibly good and happy instead of miserable and hurt, than would your answer have been any different?

Opposite of pushover, I'd say assertive. Of the other answers, I like Samaritan best, but a Samaritan is a helper, not a bully. Crusader and vigilante are kind of bully-like but the people who are the victims of crusaders and vigilantes don't see the 'good' part of it.

So, I say assertive is the best answer. People who are effected by assertive people understand that the person is standing up for themselves and see the point even though they may have to give concessions to the assertive person.

You mean someone who is pushy, but doesn't come right out and smack you?
Someone who uses psychological manipulation to coerce you to into doing what he wants, but does it for your own good?
Someone who insists that he helped you get to where you need to be becasue without him you were lost?

We call those people controlling, judgemental and intolerant.
In relationships we call them abusive. Yeah, I think that's the word you are looking for.
