Currently they are 4 games back of the White Sox in the AL Wild Card and 5.5 games back of the Yankees in the AL East Division. Their bullpen and starting pitching (except for Schilling) has been awful. Right I dont believe the Red Sox will make the playoffs.

There's still over a month to go so anything can happen. But it was sure nice to see the Yankees' kick their butts in their own back yard.
I see the Twins or the White Sox making it. The runner up in the AL East goes home.

It's still possible but not likely. The choking, overpaid, mercenaries on the Yankees are going to get spanked by the Tigers or the As in the playoffs.

nope-they are too far back in their division. i think the twins will grab the wild card spot, they got so many good pitchers (liriano, santana, radke, nathan, etc...) not to mention some great players like morneau and mauer. im excited cuz i got to see morneau play in AAA because i live in rochester, minnisotas farm team. personally, the twins being so good will spice up the rivalry, because unlike most years, both aren't going to get into the playoffs.
