I use Frued's method but how do you? I have tried Jung's but have found that I can't.

I use a combination of both, but mainly Freud. I also analyze my own dreams for practice, and use my experiences to help analyze other people's dreams. There are some universal meaning I also use, like water having to do with one's emotions. But as far as those books go, that tell you what EVERYTHING means, that's a crock. Symbols have different meaning for each person; it's impossible to say they know what everything means to everyone!

Personally, I dont agree with Frued's method. I think dreams can mean hundreds of things depending on how you look at them. There is one interpretation that I heard that I believe and that's if you dream about someone of the opposite sex who seems absolutely perfect for you, but they stand next to you the entire time, they are the male or female version of you. But everyone is going to have different opinions and different views on your dreams.

There are so many books out there for dream interpretation and so many "experts" it makes me wonder if we can really interpret our dreams.

Sometimes I find that if something has been on my mind during the day it finds its way into a dream. I believe that dreaming is just our mind sorting out all the events in our daily lives and our hopes and fears.

Enjoy what is written about them, but don't take it too seriously.

I don't know - I just woke up right now and freaked out because I had an insane dream about taking my LSAT late because I couldn't find the room and I needed to get some coca-cola but I couldn't find a soda machine. OMG.

As random thoughts not even loosely ordered for more than an instant. A drug called Respiradal offers the user good dreams. I know b/c I take it. All my dreams are very pleasant...except I walk in my sleep.

Many pople believe dreams mean something but they are basically your mind/memories replaying themselves. They can make sense or not but that doesn't mean they have a meaning. It's just images running in your mind. In fact your mind replays images all night everynight but not all of them are remembered. People dream every night but they don't mean anything.

I don't interpret my dreams because dreams don't mean anything. I'd rather live my life awake than spend it thinking about imaginary things that happened while I was asleep.
