California is a big farther rights state however if you can give dates and what he did to a good lawyer you may not have a problem.
What matters is how he treats the children and how he treat you in fornt of the children Living with a girlfriend is not sen as all that bad if he plays good daddy.
Go to a lawyer with notes as when and what he is doing Have a reason for the divorce and get full custody. If your children are old enought to talk they may need a lawyer of their own
What the goal is , is not to distrupt the children and cause then to be hurt in any way.
Take your feeling out of the game and protect the children, food clothing and saftey in a place to live. top on the list
So take the drama out of the divorce and start a life you love and the kids love too.

Get a lawyer right away. If you can't afford to do so try legal aid. Divorce him and make a nice life for yourself and the kids. I have been exactly in those shoes a long time ago. I live in new york so I am not familiar with California's laws. Good Luck..

California is a community property state; 50/50 split on everything. Check with a lawyer and see if you can get the house until you sell it and have to split the money. Talk to your tax preparer also. If the children are living with you you can file as head of household, take dependency, and get the ctc and eic.

Sorry you had to go through this, but unfortunately it happens A LOT. Nowadays, the courts usually don't pay much attention to infidelity and probably won't even consider it in any custody or divorce issues. At least that was in my personal experience. Just remember to be the bigger person and do not put your kids in the middle of this (aka: bad mouthing their dad). They are going through enough adjusting to this situation without feeling like they have to pick sides. Right now (and evey time, of course) your kids need to be your top priority. I know it hurts, but time does heal if you allow it to.

You need to discuss this with an attorney, But in California, a state that allows alimony as well as child support this will not go well for him. Adultery is still against the law, even though it is rarely prosecuted. He will suffer for is actions in the divorce settlement.

go to the library and ask about information at the reference desk. I think they will steer you in the right direction to look up any questions you want to know. if this isn't for you to do. see an attorney
