......a **** about living then wants there to lose? And surely with all the connections these people have they could get hold of one? I aint saying its as easy as scoring weed but im sure you get my point. So is the terrorist threat less than we are lead to believe or havent they got the 'balls' to use one? ( considering im right to say they could get hold of one).I might sound stupid ( im just the average joe bloggs) but none of it rings true to me.If im full of rubbish fair enough tell me that, it was just an opinion. YOU ALL MAKE THE POINT THAT IT WOULD BE A SILLY IDEA BECAUSE THEY WOULD DIE, YET DYING IS WHAT THEY AINT SCARED OFF.

They may be called terrorists, but they are not insane. The word terrorism was coined, because no other word was available at that time, so the big nations settled with the word terror.

They have tried to buy them, I don't think that Iran or Syria, or north Korea has the capability of delivering a nuclear (dirty bomb) to the terrorists. (YET). If I am mistaken about this they might be terrorists but they aren't stupid. If they sat off a nuke at this point, so many countries would come down on them and it would be Armageddon, but only for terrorist countries. The middle east would probably cease to exist.

Watch for a "terrorist" attack on a small Southern seaport using a nuclear device. That's why there is nothing being done to protect our ports. Just like the airlines in 01 the port security system (or lack of it) will be exploited by the "terrorists".

And then remember what Tommy (Loser of Afghanistan)Franks said about what would happen after that. Hmmm... maybe it is another "Pearl Harbor type" of event staged by internal American enemies working with their external allies. bin-Laden was CIA before he was al-Queda.

If it takes a nuke to scare people, they'll end up using a nuke. For now, just the threat of a terror act is enough for people to get all riled up. Hell, why have a guy blow himself up, when just THREATENING to do so will achieve your ends?

When a statement needs to be made... and it needs to be made by having someone blow himself up... a nail bomb on a bus is a good way to make people really uneasy.

Why would terrorists bother with a nuclear device when they can accomplish their purpose with common explosives, which are far less expensive and far more readily available?

if they used a nuke on us, we'd nuke some middle east countries and so on. That would be the end of the world as we know it. They don't want mutually assured destruction, they just want us gone.

the prime reason why they haven't used one, is that they don't have one. And then even after you get one, transporting and detonating isn't that easy.

it isn't so easy to make and handle nuclear weapons- even if you know all the physics.

getting one is much harder than you think it takes a lot of technology to build one and even if you had the materials to build one you would have to test it before you used it to know if it would work thats why major nations do underground testing before they build bombs.
