Your belly will be huge soon enough, don't worry. You're still only half way and your baby is going to grow big time.Your uterus will grow to accommodate the baby whether you want it to or not. No, your not a crazy woman, your just a first time Mom living through a brand new experience. Try to relax and not worry. The way I got through these scares with my pregnancies(3) was a book called What To Expect When You're Expecting. It asks and answers pretty much any question you could have and it was very reassuring. Enjoy this time cause you'll miss it when it's gone. Best of luck to you and your husband. PS some women look the most pregnant from behind, there is no one shape for a pregnant woman. You may not even look the same in the next pregnancy.

Women who show at 4 weeks will envy you... yes, some will give rude comments that you want to look pregnant. But, I was in your spot. I ate healthy and that's why (I guess) I didn't gain a lot until later on. Chances are, you will gain steadily at some point!
The good news is that you won't have to buy new clothes for a while. OTOH, an 'I've got a bun in the oven' shirt is fun! :)
Don't worry about people thinking you're lying. I felt self-conscience as everyone and their brother wanted to tell me that I would lose the baby if I didn't gain weight; offerring unsolicited advice that I shouldn't worry so much about gaining weight... I was worried that I wasn't gaining...
anyway, the first baby (so I hear) stretches out the muscles so that you're more likely so show earlier on with your next pregnancy.
I didn't really look pregnant until late 7 months. I even interviewed and was offered a job at 6 months (haha - I turned it down, but it was funny to me that they didn't know I was so pregnant). I just looked like I'd been eating a lot before then! ;) I'm also 5'6" and have a long mid-section.
It was fun, though, telling people how pregnant I was! :) No one believed me and it was fun on some level.
Annoyingly, though, was that people assume that since you aren't showing a lot, that you won't feel as pregnant. At 8 months I felt HUGE and people would tell me that I was lucky I wasn't very big... I still felt very pregnant and started getting resentful that I didn't get so much pampering that I expected.
Oh, well. when you don't gain as much, you don't need to lose so much, either.
A wonderful site for a pregnant and/or new mom is: www.kellymom.com.

All women show at different rates. Right now, I know four people who are pregnant, two are due 2 days apart and are pretty much the same size height/weight wise. One started showing at 8 weeks (and no, she's not having twins) and the other is still not showing at 12 weeks. The other two people are also due about the same time (about two weeks apart) and are about the same height/weight wise, and one of the women looks like she's about to give birth any day (even though she still has a month left) and the other woman is noticeably pregnant but not nearly as big as the other woman.
If you're really concerned, ask your dr. Believe me, drs. are used to getting calls about everything under the sun. Remember, your dr. works for you, not the other way around. If you want reassurance that everything's fine, give your dr. a call or ask about it at your next appt. It's not worth stressing over. You need to take care of yourself and that baby and stress, regardless of what it's over won't do either of you any good!
Your dr. should be measuring your belly during your appts. and from the top of your uterus to your pelvic bone, it should measure the number of weeks pregnant you are. If your dr. does this and hasn't said anything about you measuring small, there's shouldn't be anything to worry about.

When your belly is sticking so far out you can't see your feet, you won't be asking that lol. It gets really tight though, but your skin is such a wonderfully elastic thing. And your uterus, it grows with the baby, that is specificaly what it is designed for. It simply grows with your child. Use cocoa butter! It really does help with stretch marks and itchy skin. Just don't stop using it and start soon! Give it another month, it will be more noticeable definatly. And don't worry about how other people see you, your belly is going to be big enough soon, but the mega belly doesn't hit until your last trimester lol.
Good luck!

YOUR ONLY 21 WEEKS! Every pregnant woman is different, sure. But this is your first pregnancy. I would not even bother calling the doctor. I didntn even start showing (to the point where people could actually tell) till I was 7 months along. As long as you had a healthy ultrasound, and have had no comlications, there is no need to worry. It will happen! And when it does, you are going to think, why was I so anxious for this!

If there wasn't enough room for babies, women would blow up instead of giving birth. Hence stretch marks. If you are taller on top, you'll show differently than the models you have seen with basketball bellies. Baby's more than likely taking advantage of the extra room, and prefers to be stretched out right now. They do get balled up later towards the end.
Don't worry. People will always have their own opinions. I could tell you story after story - and I'm sure you'll read tons on here. But, just remember - everybody's body is different.

During your first pregnancy, both your uterus and your stomach muscles are nice and tight. That is why you are slow to show. Your baby has plenty of room , don't worry. During my first pregnancy, I was a no-show until I was about 6 months- then "pop". (I'm 5'9") With the second pregnancy, I showed alot earlier. That is when my doctor explained that things stretch out easier and faster the second time. Enjoy the easy mobility that a small belly gives you.

Oh you'll get the pregnancy "belly" and it is going to happen whether you want it to or not... The Uterus will stretch and so will your skin... find some good stretch mark cream soon....
And who gives a hoot what people think!?? you know you are pregnant. That is all that matters~!
Don't call the dr again... things are find. This is the first baby right? it's normal and natural... just enjoy each and every day of your pregnancy! :)
congratulations!

some women don't start getting a pregnancy stomach until they are about 7 months old and then its like they grew over night. I wouldn't worry about it. Your body has enough room for baby, if it didn't then no woman would be able to have enough room. It's the way a womans body is made. In a couple more months you could be bigger than you ever thought you would be, don't be surprised.
