Febuary, Not just my Birthday month, but here in Austria is full of good white snow in the mountains. I then go to my friend house in the high forest (1,050 Mtrs) and look after their place, and walk in deep snow through the forest see deer and other forest animals. some times ski. Boy is that a lovely time, this year the snow was 2 meters deep there, but the house was +20°C and outside _-27°C and the heating is automatic, and just burns wood chips with no smoke, needs no attention for 3 months. But still I love building a real log fire in the huge living room there. Oh how I love Stinehous am Semmering

My favorite part of the year is spring because to me it symbolizes a rebirth. I live in a climate that has harsh winters, that seem to go on forever, and when the snow melts and the new sprouts appear from the soil my heart feels a strong sense of joy...elation. The greens of spring are so vibrant. Everything is fresh, clean. The daffodils and crocus' poking up from the earth make me smile. What was just a short time ago a field of white frozen snow is now green and growing with new life.

Fall.

I love the cool weather after the hot summer. It's so refreshing. Also, I love to watch my trees as they change colors. Every evening we go for walks in our local State Parks - and have picnics by the water!

PLUS (and this is the real kicker) it's apple season! I love apples! I make homeade applesauce (and can), peel and cut apples for pies (and freeze them) - so I have fresh apples all year around. The smell of Lodi apples reminds me of my grandma and grandap. And, all the fun holidays we had together as kids. Even if I can't have those days any more...the smell of apples brings those memories to my doorstep!

Also, its my wedding anniversary (October 27) - five years this year. That's also why I chose a fall wedding :))

Autumn. The changing colors in New England are so vibrant and just awesome. Apple picking, hay rides, Halloween, raking leaves, Thanksgiving dinner, and cool weather all seem like heaven sent. Happy Autumn!

Fall where I live. The temperature is just right, the leaves are changing colors, there are candy apples, maple syrup, Halloween, Thanksgiving, perfect weather for hiking, maple candy, I could go on and on. The only bad thing is starting school again!

Fall. I love the bright colors as the leaves change. I love going to the pumpkin patch with the kids, and I love Halloween. The cool crisp air, and flying leaves as the wind blows. It's gorgeous!

I love Autumn, when the air is cool and the leaves are falling. It leaves me feeling all melancholy and stuff.

Unfortunately, I live in Louisiana right now, and it seems that summer stretches all the way till Christmas. Our winters just consist of cold fronts... I miss snow :(

October through March because it's cooler and it contains all the holiday hype, which I truly love. Plus winter is my fave season.
