If you have the yahoo toolbar, click on the little pencil next to the search box. Click on Toolbar Options... make sure Enable Search History is NOT checked... it will stop saving any of your searches.

Where are you trying to delete your history?? If you are trying to delete History from yahoo tool bar, it will clear all history from the sites that you visit from the tool bar only, Now if you want to delete History from you whole computer, at the top of your window;s screen look for the word (TOOL) click there then (INTERNET OPTIONS) another window will open up, scroll down where you will see (Clear Search History) that is all there is to it, then you can also set the number of days that you want your computer to hold history, set that for 1 day and it will be deleted the next day...I have mine set for 1 day.. If you are using IE make sure you clear out the cache, history and cookies then go into the temp files and see if there is anything in there. From Mozilla, just go to tools then options then go to the privacy tab and hit the clear browser history, cache and cookies folders and you should be done. You may have a virus try downloading spybot it works well I had the same prob and it worked for me.
