No, light speed travel isn't perceptable to a passing observer and you aren't any more light-reflective as you decellerate from Light Speed. There would be no flash unless you were accellerating. However, reguardless of the direction you were travelling through space relative to the sun once you had lost all intertia you'd be sunny-side up.

According to now accepted theories, no material object (including you) can travel at a speed equal to or exceeding the speed of light in free space.
If you do, The equations says that you would have to disappear ! So sorry, no possibilty of you being a 'flash in the pan'.

I don't think so, since if you are traveling at the speed of light, light emitted by hitting the pan will not travel faster than you are, so no one and nothing will see the splash!
