The Tigers are slowly but surely choking it away, the White Sox haven't been playing that well, Santana's been lights out, Morneau, Mauer, Cuddyer, and Hunter have been hitting the ball well, and if somehow Liriano can return I think they can take it, and possibly without him, they have a sick record at home, I guess we'll see, I think they'll at least get the wild card, but I'm predicting a Tigers choke job, giving the division to the Twins, possibly White Sox.

They'll get the wild card, but not the division. My gut tells me that Liriano won't be back.

The White Sox have gone 11-8 in August, the same as the Twins, so can we say the Twins aren't playing that well either? The Tigers on the other hand are 9-10 in August.

I do wish people would actually look things up and base questions and answers on fact and not on feelings.

I dont think that the twins will pull out the division but the wild card is a definite possiblility. The tigers have been expecting to fold all season long and it hasnt happened yet. 79 wins and 34 games over 500 I wouldnt hold my breath expecting them to fold. The White Sox on the othe hand almost blew it last year in September, they may blow it this year. Good Luck to your Twinkies!!

Twins aren't going anywhere past the white sox. The best you can hope for is that the sox beat the tigers down far enough for the twins to pass them for the wildcard. (unlikely)
besides, as sick as the twinkies home record may be, they can't consistently beat the tigers like the sox have. So there in lies your problem.

im a twins fan, since i live in the city of their AAA team. i love morneau, and i saw him as a young guy. him, mauer, and cuddyer are awesome. not to mention santana! however, i think they will grab the wild card spot, not their division :-( tigers are just too good.

they will get a wild card with liriano in the line-up, otherwise i wouldn't look for them to sustain. so much is dependant on pitching and having only 2 will only yield .500 ball.

tigers go it set to win but the twins will have to overcome the white sox.

i seriously doubt they can get the central but i think they have as good a chance as anyone to get the wild card, but their key is liriano.
