Obviously you are opinionated and that is that. People have abortions for various reasons not just a oops need birth control. I would not want a teenager giving birth and effecting her reputation and future because she was raped. The emotional damage from being pregnant after such a ordeal is enough. I would not want a mother of two risking her life to only die and leave 3 children without a mother. I would not want a woman to go through her entire nine months knowing the baby will be severely deformed and not live. I would not want a woman to carry a dead fetus full term either. there are both medical and emotional reasons people have abortions and instead of judging there decision based on your beliefs and not knowing the circumstances you should open your heart it would be morally wrong for you but it may be absolutely what others choose. You say you do not judge yet you state people are sinning you in fact are doing GODS job and judging when the bible says not to. God does not punish people by giving them breast cancer and maybe you should think about that since many women and men get breast cancer but never had a abortion.

My thoughts on Abortion are simple "Don't want 1? Then don't have 1"....

I am glad my wife & I never had to make that choice & you should be thankful that you never had to either... but if you were the mother of 1-2-3 whatever & your life was at risk.. are your other children better off with you or without.. and are your other children better off with just a father w/ a baby and 3 other kids or 3 kids and their Mom?

Rape, Incest, it happens and girls DO get pregnant from it - would you want to have & raise a child knowing where it came from? Don't give me the "I could give it up for adoption" because the women who are alcholocis and drug addicts that are having these babies aborted, aren't the babies people are looking to adopt & that is FACT...

Don't bring God to the table when chances are that when no WMD's were found you still supported an unjustified war where innocents are being killed.....

Conservatives don't care about abortion - because they feel it's okay to kill 'em when they are adults...

Wow, calm down. Abortion has always been such a controversal question. The bottom line is that no one should be able to tell a women what to do with her own body. And I'm pretty sure the government feels that way and that's why abortion is legal. Every woman who has an abortion deals with it in their own way and I believe they all suffer, wether it is pysically or emotionally or both. Regardless, it is not for anyone to say wether it is right or wrong except for the couple who gets one. Now that you have probably upset lots of people, you should take a breather.

You're totally correct, abortion is wrong 100% of the time. Anyone who doubts this needs to take a look at:

And, by the way, it's NOT wrong to "judge" someone who commits murder! If a pro-choicer saw a man beating his infant child to death on the street, would they think, "Well, I can't judge him. It's his choice, after all." Of course not! We judge child molesters, rapists, and murderers of born people. Abortion is no different.

I am pro-choice,

I believe that the parents have a right to choose wether or not they want to keep their child. I myself would never have one, however, I think there are certain circumstances out there that one might choose to have an abortion over it, ie; Raped, complications of pregnancy, high risk factors to baby, ect.

I am 21 years old, and I had my daughter when I was 16 years old, yes, I will admit, I thought about abortion, however, when it came down to the moment that I was going to have one, I couldnt' do it. It just didn't feel right to me.

I don't feel like woman should use it as a form of "birth control", however, I think everyone has a right to do what they want to their own body. Its a painful experiance, and I don't see how anyone COULD do it, but if I knew someone that was going to have one, I would support them, and be there for them no matter what their choice was.

Being a politician and against abortion is a tough situation to be in. On the one hand I believe that no real good comes out of an abortion. It causes cancer, both breast and Uterine. It destroy a gift from God. It does a whole lot worse than good.

Yet as a politician I firmly believe that I can not impose my belief system on my constituents. You can not legislate morality. It is impossible. It didn't work with the prohibition, it won't work with abortion. In fact all it will do is to create another type of criminal.

What government needs to do is to keep their nose out of it. Except when the militant activist destroys life and limb of those who run and own the clinics. Also I think we as a government should not be supporting the clinics. If separation of church and state means keeping the church out of the government then the government needs to keep out of a moral issue.

I personally could never go through with an abortion, I had the option to when I found out I was pregnant but my heart said no. I didn't feel it was my place to remove life. I thought, if it's meant to be it will be, if it isn't it won't, God will take care of that. As it happens, I'm nearly 32 weeks pregnant and looking forward to seeing my wonderful creation very soon!

I'm pro-choice.

First, it's not murder unless the baby is viable. Before that it is part of the same life as its mother. Therefore having the baby removed is about like having one's ear or big toe removed.

Second, babies at that stage of development are not very intelligent, and therefore less valuable in terms of morality than a more intelligent being (such as the baby's mother). Their values can be compared by taking the baby and matching it up against the mother multiplied by the fraction of the mother's life the baby uses up; yes, the baby is in a very real sense destroying part of the mother's life.

Third, if you're about to use the 'It's a POTENTIAL adult!' argument, which I've seen a lot of people use, I'll tell you right now that it doesn't work. If we have to take care of a baby human just to make sure it becomes an adult human (which it has the potential to be), the same logic means we should also make as many women pregnant as we can and then feed them bread because the matter in the bread also has the potential to be an adult human someday. Face it, humans are not morally obliged to make as much matter as they can- whatever the current form- into adult humans.

I am against it 100% too!
some people say it's their right to say what they can and cannot do with their body! BS, It's not their body when a baby is concerned! It doesn't do anything to the woman's body, just the baby's!
I don't want to get into why it hate it, it's a huge controversial issue, but i believe its wrong!
