i never realized the importance of eyebrows...until i went in for a makeover once and they put powder on my brows! it REALLY helped to frame my face, and give more emphasis on my eyes and just my makeup. i have fairly light eyebrows, and i do pluck them every once in awhile. but i bought that powder, and wow it really helps to make your face stand out and "look" more polished. even if i do'nt have to put on eyeliner and stuff, if i just put on the powder to make my brows darker, already i look more "alert". it's weird. anyways, as long as it looks fairly natural! i think powder looks more natural than pencil.... :)

If they are drawing their eyebrows on...that has to look artificial, nothing worse than 'penciled in ' brows. Bushy is not great either, sorry. Brows are very important as a frame for the eye and to balance your face. They should be well-groomed and contoured....never bushy or unruly, especially for a girl! Trimming or carefully tweezing your brows ( or haave them professionally waxed) and eliminating stray hairs underneath the brow will give your whole face a more manicured look. You can use eyebrow make-up to 'fill-in' sparse areas, but never draw eyebrows in....UGH!

Some people are not as blessed to have thicker eyebrows so they color or draw them on. Then again who wants a UNA BROW.
Think of how the women going for chemo feel after they've lost all their hair and their eyebrows they draw their eyebrows, because it is a characteristic of every person and not having them makes them self conscience.
Also over plucking/waxing can cause your hair not to grow back.

The eyebrows frame the face. Without them your face would not look like it is finished. Some women have plucked their eyebrows so much that they will not grow back. Some have shaved off their eyebrows. They pencil them in to finish the face.

In the case of my mother, she had an accident in her high school chemistry class where something blew up in her face, burning off most of her eyebrows. So she draws hers in to make what's left look a little more normal.

Some people espically those with alopecia, have no eyebrows, so they use perm makeup. Others over plucked and damaged the follicles cause the eyebrows not to grow.

It's usually not to make them thicker but to define the eyebrow shape. When you have good eyebrows it makes a hella difference to your face.

Eyebrows are the frame for the eye. If they look bad the eye will.

i, personally, have had bad experiences with getting my eyebrows shaped. i find that plucking an outline and drawing them on gets them exactly the way i want them. especially considering that i tend to want them pointier some days, and more rounded on others.

We dont NEED to draw our eyebrows on, its only for older women who lost all their eyebrow hair. (applies for tattoos as well)
