Aye, it's Vanessa Paradis. Johnny and Vanessa have been together since they both worked on 'The Ninth Gate' (1998), incidentally not a very good film. After that they both almost appeared in Terry Gilliam's "Don Quijote", now famous for miserably failing to be completed, quite cursed in a way. There's a documentary on that film project that you should see, it's a funny tragedy. Vanessa's former boyfriend eternalised her in the song Black Velveteen, which I think is one of his best - it's on the album '5'. When it came out, they had split already. Vanessa did not sing in any of Lenny Kravitz' songs, which based on her awful UK hit 'Joe le Taxi' (1987) was a wise choice by the 'dreaded' rocker. To be fair, 'Be my baby' was alright though. Kravitz wrote it. She did cover one of Kravitz' songs too. I like Lenny Kravitz' music, hated the cover. Her voice is sugary sweet, much the same as she looks really. She became famous most of all because of her incredibly youthful good looks, with which she used to model too. Look at her, and you immediately think of Brigitte Bardot and other 'quintessential' French beauties. She's now a singer and actress, with an album and tour due next year. In the advertisement, she's dressed in all black and feathers, portraying a bird swinging in a cage. In 2004 they chose her once again to promote Chanel's new line of handbags called "Ligne Cambon."
