In the yahoo version of Canasta, what does Kibitz mean?

I see that it's one of the table options.

Kibitzing is allowing others at the table watching to see your hand. I usually uncheck it to avoid cheating, people have their friends come to the table and see whats in everyone elses hand they can just send them an instant message so they know what not to throw.
