If so, did it hurt a lot? I have had my belly button pierced and my tongue. My tongue hurt a lot, belly button didn't, but I am curious about the tragus. How long does it take to heal? How long til you can sleep on it comfortably? Any suggestions about getting it done?

Re: pain - Your Mileage May Vary. Pain's a very individual thing.

Re: sleeping on it comfortably - either have it done on the side you don't normally sleep on/talk on the phone on/etc., or invest in a handtowel to roll up, and then create a ring out of so that your ear will fit in the towel ring. It'll make sleeping on the tragus side a bit easier, since there won't be direct pressure on the new pierce.

Re: suggestions - I'm going to guess you already have a reputable piercer, so you might want to take a look at http://www.bmezine.com and read some experiences of people who've had tragus pierces done and get more of a first-hand experience.

Remember it's a cartilage pierce, and it'll make the crunchy cart noise when it's done. Keep it clean, keep your hair, hands, and headsets off it while healing. :)

Good luck!

Tragus is harder than cartilage. it really is in direction of the flexibility of bone and seeing as a results of the undeniable fact that is so on the breaking point of your ear canal and nerves on your cheeks it has a tendency to damage more desirable, take longer to pierce through some seconds (it takes per chance 7 seconds as against 4 or 5) and takes longer to heal. they don't pierce it an same as a cartilage. the region takes longer because there's a lot less floor to pierce and with the cartilage of your ear precise in the back of it a cork or some catching stopper is positioned in the back of so as that the needle would not bypass into your ear. Cartilage takes about 6 months to heal each and each of how and a tragus takes 8 to 9 months. Any piercing can soak as a lot as a three hundred and sixty 5 days and a nil.5 if issues take position or by no skill heal precise. save a watch on it in case you get it carried out. a sturdy tip is to have a make certain take you to a piercing save, no longer the mall, and ask them what they do. they could prepare you a needle, the hoop, the stopper, all of it and inform you about how lengthy it might take to heal. anticipate some tenderness for some days to each and each week and if something looks incorrect search for suggestion from with the man who did it. do not play with it plenty, that promotes the germs on your hands to get into the open wound and may lead on to an infection. they're there to respond to questions as to stay away from their shoppers getting nasty infections that would were prevented. sturdy success!
