Fleet enemas are very effective and efficient.
Unless you have something really seriously wrong with you that has you constipated that you need a stick of dynamite to move things along, then a Fleet will generally do the job well.
Use the SIMS position. Just follow the directions on the box and you will do fine.
5 to 15 minutes generally does the trick, don't stray too far from the bathroom though.
Good luck.

I had to get on my hands and knees (the one time I had to use one) and have my mother insert the enema. It's painful anyway you look at it, but this was the easiest way for me...
Yes, it takes effect w/in a minute or so...

ok I am a CNA and the way we were trained to give an enema is to lie on your left side...apply lubrication to the end of the tube, insert into anus to the line, slowly squeeze bottle, don't go to fast you will give yourself cramps....you will start to fell pressure inside, once bottle is empty or you cannot take anymore, try to hold it in as long as possible.......do this in the bathroom lying on some towels

The best position is giving it while lying on back or side. Giving it while on the toilet or squatting may allow it to leak more and not be as effective. It works quickly, usually with in minutes.

They do work pretty quick....but I'd say you have about 15-20 minutes before you need to park yourself close to a potty

i dont know from personal use, but have administered a few before... you should lay on one side, insert the nozzle, and slowly squeeze the bottle. it doesnt take long, just a few minutes to work. essentially, it just "flushes" you out.
