Im already in full time employment and wish to work part time as a self employed courier. I havent done this type of work before and also have never been self employed so im not sure wether it is worth it. I have phoned a company and im told that i would be paid 65p per parcel delivered, considering petrol costs and the fact that it doesnt matter how many times you try to deliver to someone, you only get paid once it is delivered and also whatever tax i need to pay myself, whats the average take home pay?

well I'm not a courier but I do take away deliveries now and again to help out, for a nights work (7hr shift) I can make between 50 and 100 pounds per night, as long as you know your local area, it's really easy work.

I haven't done it. But I've done deliveries and you need to plan your route and know the area you are doing well. You also need to drive so you are fast getting around without wasting fuel. I trained with the government and did an advanced driving course - so learned some stuff on that. You also need to do accounts. You will probably end up recording Corrie and then listening to it instead of watching it and doing your accounts at the same time! i hope you have a laptop!
