Hey! I'm 15 too and same thing with me don't feel bad and ur not stupid! ur curious just like me, but ya if the cramps are sudden and not for long it's usually hunger in my case, the way I found out? a lite snack if that subsided my cramps then I realized it was hunger and I ate, if not it was cramps, I'd advise a light snack such as an apple or Yogurt if that helps eat something else because u are prolly hungry! If you would like to talk more send me an Email or an Instant message k later

I've never had hunger feel like a cramp so I can't relate to what you are feeling...my hunger "pangs" and lower abdomen cramps from getting my period never felt alike or were confused for each other...

If you don't normally cramp when you are hungry when you're not on your period, then when you are on your period the cramps you feel are just that...cramps...however some women do get the munchies when on their period...hormones can have that effect...so just because the two occur simultaneously at times, doesn't mean the cramps indicate hunger...

And yes, it's normal to both have cramps...and get hunger pangs (more than normal) when on your period...

i think its different.. at least for me.. my cramping seems to happen more at the back and to the sides..
where as hunger cramps seem to come right from the centre

:) i'm not quite sure myself i think it might be different for everyone

Don't worry this is normal. If cramping gets bad try painkillers, ask your mum or doc.

Sorry to say, it is part of a period, and for some women is horrible.
