It is indeed sad that Clijsters is injured...we always want to see the best in the sport competing, especially at the OPEN. That said, with Kim's announced pre-planned retirement after next year, I am not going to miss her. I acutally will be pulling for Martina Hingis, her all-around game is a pleasure to watch.

Agassi is a legend. I too hope to see him make one final glorious run. Unfortunately his body is betraying him. In order to compete with these younger world-class athletes you have to be at the top of your game. While Agassi certainly has the skills and experience to compete, his body is breaking down which makes a long run at the Open unlikely. Plus he will be unseeded, which may make him vulnerable to some very difficult and challenging early round matches. Probably best that way. Would rather see him go out with a loss to a top-ranked player than an undistinguished wild-card or worse.

It does stink. Agassi has been around for ever. I can not remember the last guy to play well when he was 36. If he could win the open it would me magical. Eight grand slams and one of the best rivalries ever with Sampras. Clijsters will be back from the wrist injury. I like her a lot. She is a great gal. I always wondered why she was with that little terd Hewit.

Yes it is not a good news. But this has to happen some day, so just choose some other player as your favorite, though it is difficult, that's the only way.
