Can the 2006 Nissan Altima run on ethanol?

Almost certainly not, if you're talking more than 10% ethanol. However, if it can, there will be a sticker in the vicinity of the gas cap to say so.

Check in the owners manual under "Fuel Type" a lot of cars being manufactured now can run on ethanol.
