Be completely honest with Ebay - tell them what happened. If your feedback is good and in high numbers they are likely to believe you.

Also, to show a willingness to resolve this issue, write to your local postmaster/mistress and tell them when and where you posted the item. Do this on the off chance that the item lost its packaging and is sitting on a lost property/'unable to deliver' shelf. Show ebay the resulting correspondance. It might not uncover what happened to the parcel but it helps to underline your honesty.

Good luck. (Awful position to be in - you won't throw your proof of posting away so soon next time!)

regrettably because of this you could in no way deliver through floor mail' because the shopper in ordinary words has 45days to make a declare. the actual undeniable truth that they claimed after a million week ; understanding it became going to take 5-6 weeks prooves the shopper knows a thanks to play the equipment, and has shafted you. per chance purely per chance they were purely panicking too quickly even with the undeniable fact that, and could be prepared to pay back even as they receive it Paypal will in ordinary words be attracted to signed for evidence that this is been presented or you'll lose the declare interior of their alloted time-body. you could attempt to charm it once you get on line evidence (each in certain situations staying power will pay off) OR when you've evidence do an ebay selection centre 'record a situation' dispute. Ring ebay and persist. you is surely not in a position to declare from R.M so which think ofyou've got to target to bluff them that you'll pursue them through small claims courtroom for the money they owe you (moneyclaims on line) Your situation is it really is in yet another continent good success

there is not a lot you can do if you have thrown away proof of posting - it is your word against theirs and you will probably be required to refund their money and it's better to volunteer this (through the ebay resolution channels) than to be forced. Expensive lesson, never ever send anything unless it's signed for, tracked or insured, otherwise this is what happens.
There is alway the possibility that they are trying it on - can you prove it though

if you cant prove you posted the item, then I dont think there is much you can do about it you may have to refund them, have you told the buyer you cannot find the proof of posting they may be trying it on,

I think you may have to out this one down to experience, ebay can be a bloody nightmare sometimes.

hi did the person wait until 5 weeks to contact you about the phone, if so then why did he wait 5 weeks..i sell alot of stuff on ebay.. i take he has not left feedback as yet.. if he has contacted you before the 5 weeks, then there is not a lot you can do...but if he has left it this long, then i would contact ebay yourself, let them know what has happened..and go from there...

It sounds like a scam due to the time taken. I would not worry. Just tell ebay the truth

Nothing happens per say, you just get negative feedback and less people will buy from you. No legal action is gonna be taken.

Go to the post office and have them put a tracer on it. If you use Stamps.com for postage labeling, you get an automatic tracking number.
