administration is doing: selling us the war on terror in Iraq and elsewhere. It is becoming an increasingly tough sell in Iraq. Do we need a better sales pitch or a better war?

We just need to pitch the whole lot of 'em (Republicrats and Demopublicans alike) over the back fence, and start anew.
The troops are doing fine. They deserve our support (preferably with all of them at home). But just as in every war - "police action" - limited engagement - whatever - since 1945, it's the politicians who are screwing it up.
You were involved in the "unpleasantness" in SE Asia; you know better than most of us.
