Zinedine Zidane of course.Coz he is the most responsible and loyal football player living.Even after announcing his retirment in 2004, he came out of retirment in 2005 when he saw that the French team was not doing well in the WC 2006 qualifiers. He knew that the team and country needed him.He took charge as captain and lead his country till the finals and almost won the WC 2006 .Only a loyal man would do it.He was not at all selfish. He acted as a responsible player and led his country to glory.

Morover he has a very good reputation with most players. At Real Madrid and all clubs he played for, everyone loved him for his modesty and good nature. When he baffled everyone on the pitch with his divine football skills, off the pitch everyone was impressed by his devotion to his family and friends. It is also told that he is the President of some football club for kids in his home town of Mersailles even after being a football superstar. This shows that he hasnt forgotten his roots and will always be loyal to the place and people with whom he grew.

All in all,Zizou is a perfect football player , a perfect son, father, brother ,friend and husband.
Zizou,WE LOVE U!!

Definitely this LEGEND called Zinedine Zizou Zidane..I know he is such a responsible person plus loyal and kind-hearted..I know it from his previous reaction..He would headbutt someone just to protect his family and honour plus dignity and he would also bare all those heart-attacking criticisms thrown to him although the truth is he is just defending his rights..By his action,I know that he is the most trustworthy person that ever walked on earth as he would do simply anything to protect his family..That's one trait which is hard for Materazzi to have..

Zidane is known to be modest, quiet and shy. After the final, President Jacques Chirac hailed Zidane as a national hero and called him a "man of heart and conviction".Chirac later added that he found the offence to be unacceptable, but that he understood that Zidane had been provoked.President Abdelaziz Bouteflika of Algeria expressed his solidarity with Zidane in a letter of support.Zidane's sponsors announced that they would stick with him. These are evidences that he is indeed a trustworthy and kind-hearted plus loyal and responsible person. If he is not, then why would the Presidents (of France and of Algeria) and the rest support him? Zizou, you will be deeply missed! Live in peace,my hero!

well, since i know more about the guys who play for england, then i would have to say that david beckham, despite his fame and popularity, seems very down to earth and loyal and responsible. i mean, he and victoria have 3 sons, they do stuff with charities and everything, and i just think they're really awesome. so, i think i could probably trust them in many cases.

There are several players I would deem as most trustworthy and honourable, Zidane, Klose, Trezeguet, Beckham... but the one who truly inspired me the most with his dignity and class is:
Jens Lehmann, because he is the definition of courage. He started out his career in Schalke, near his hometown, where he didn't do well in those early years. In one match, he let in three goals the first half and was substituted, he then left and went home by himself instead of waiting for the team bus. He was jeered, booed, insulted, and even had stones thrown at him. He sat in the shadow of his rival Oliver Kahn for years, and every time he dared to speak out, he received criticism, insults, and was told to keep his mouth shut. Germany overlooked him, the world was cruel to him, and he had to deal with bad luck and people judging him and being harsh to him when all he really did was say the truth. It seemed like he was not liked anywhere he went, for when he finally left Schalke, he only saw a brief stint in AC Milan, where he was kicked out after a few months. He returned to Germany, this time to Dortmund, where he found that things hadn't changed much. During one match, a group of fans kept shouting insults at him, at first he tried to ignore it, but then they began insulting his family, and he walked up to them to punch them. Criticised by the media, by fans, by managers, everyone thought he wasn't good enough. When he played matches in Munich, he couldn't even concentrate from the constant jeering and shouting of insults at him the whole match. But Jens Lehmann overcame all of that, and showed the world who he is, eventually he was named Germany's number one goalkeeper by Klinsmann, and he finally got his dream, to actually play at a World Cup, where he had only been on the sidelines for years. He proved them all wrong and became a hero when he saved his team with his great goalkeeping skills. That's why I would choose Jens Lehmann, he is a shining example of some one that never gives up, someone who is shunned but is indefatigable, someone who is the meaning of courage. He annouced he will leave Arsenal in 2007, and retire in 2008 after the Euro Championship. Germany has to win for him, because he deserves the glory he has been cheated out of all these years. He deserves to end with something in stark contrast to the woes of the beginning of his career, and I hope nothing ruins that for him this time, Jens Lehmann is my hero, and it's time the whole world knew how great he is.

Zidane, because he's so reliable. For instance, when he hurt his shoulder in the World Cup final, he signaled to his team that a substitute was not necessary. He knew his team needed him.
