The proposal should not be too difficult.

A financial statement is the most important thing that will be considered. Capitol, money, is key.

You should have a location in mind and have done some research in the market to be served by that location. Competition must be considered and size of the city.

MacDonald's is not going to permit you to open across the street from another. Just an example.

Your proposal should outline all your experience and capabilities that will ensure success. Not so much different than a resume for a top management position. They want to know what you have to offer them, as well as insure your own success. Franchisers, themselves, want and expect to grow along with you.

They do not expect all the written plans that are necessary to start a business. That comes later, and they assist in that process.

What i like to use for these types of memos or letter is Microsoft word. At the top where it say search type in wat you are looking for. Sometimes it has formats on a specific thing you are lookin for. Then you can just edit as you need to make any changes.
