It's an interesting theory. In quantum physics, ever possible outcome to an event occurs in it's own universe. This creates an infinite number of "parallel" universes, or what is called the Multiverse.
Do I believe it? I don't know. It's one of those things that is really impossible to get hard proof of its existance, like many things in quantum physics.

Parelle is not a word. Parallel is. I believe in parallel universes, but not the ones we see on TV. The Quantum Theory suggests that our galaxy is in a part of space which moves much slower than the rest of the universe, and that our speed of light, is much much much slower than light in different parts of the universe. Therefor, galaxies could exists all around us, even, exactly where we are. But since they move not only too fast for us to see, but so fast that they actually supersede the physical boundaries of our own world; they can move right through us as we are here, and neither existence would know about the other.

Yes I do. And Shaman's insight that our window into reality is limited by our body's sensory systems that capture portions of reality is a really good one. The recommendation you go to mkaku.org web site is a good one since Mr.Kaku, a leading physicist following in the Sagan/Asimov tradition has recently written an award-winning book on the subject.
Personally I like to think there are a multiplicity of universes existing in parallel and humans with self-consciousness can recognize that we live within several of them limited by the abilities of our mind's eye, ie our capacities to imagine and feel and reason. The images in the recent Matrix movie trilogy updating Plato's Cave Analogy in the Republic are right and left brain attempts to give us examples to understand what is reality especially human reality. One way to think about reality is to connect what's happening up and down the size scale above and below the scale of things we humans occupy, where the Self lives in, looking through the window' our mind and body provide into the full scale of things.
The multiverse (universe of infinite universes) is like a cake with many different layers some separating and some connecting to make a whole cake. TWH 08222006
ps: If you want a strange fantastical look at the idea take out and see the dvd movie produced by Walt Disney entitled Howl's Moving Castle. It's wonderful anime premised on the existence of parallel universes. You will not regret seeing it with others so you can dicuss the movie and the ideas it touches on.

It seems to me that it is fairly likely at least one other universe, of some kind, exists. For one thing, as creationists have cleverly pointed out (and stupidly ignored the implications of), the chances of any one universe being able to support complex life are probably rather small (for one thing, most universes are probably themselves small, much smaller than our own); the fact that we exist is evidence that multiple universes exist, either beside, above, below, behind or ahead of ours (and probably some combination of those).
I would suggest reading this:

>at least to some of us
If you're talking about reaching into other universes using psychic abilities, that I most certainly don't believe in. The power of a human mind, without using it to control any physical body, is limited to a few ions traveling around through brain cells. When you compare that with particle collider experiments and quantum physics theories, there's not much contest as to which has better chances of reaching into other universes.

At last someone who knows - Yes I do believe and I feel so alone sometimes, because those who know do not reveal themselves?
Its not unseen, just not admitted to because they think we are crazy. Maybe we are, but the places I have been would blow out some people's minds.
I am quite sane and normal, I just experience certain things and I am prepared to talk about it, if asked.

I believe there are realms that exist beyond our normal ability to perceive. However, I haven't made a final decision on how I think it exists.
Could be a multiverse concept or could be that we are limited by our perceptions to see the full expanse of what we call this universe or it could be both.
In the end, I don't think we humans are quite smart enough to know for sure in this lifetime.

We create our own parallel universes to help deal with the stresses of our own. You may think this a silly example, but I think that sports provide a parallel universe for many in which they can find an escape and play out emotions that are difficult to do in our day-to-day existence.

There are different planes of existence, dimensions. When we sleep we go to one of them is called the astral plane, but we are usually unconscious. When we gain consciousness in this plane (I have) then we have what people call "out of body experience" which is really your astral body being in the astral plane or realm. It looks pretty similar to this physical plane except you can see other being that live in this realm, its pretty cool. If you want to experience it, just think or say to your self that you will stay conscious as you are falling asleep, repeat this every night or specially at nap time and one day you will drift into another dimension(astral plane) as you are going to sleep. do not be scared.

One parallel universe? I believe that the universes are infinite. Something along the lines of string theory.
