I'm 24yrs old and I have tried over the past few years to get my weight down to a a level I feel comfortable with. 2 yrs ago I was 87kgs today I weigh 63kgs. I exercise, I eat right and I'm careful with my sleep and work load...... And although I'm the same exact weight that I was pre-pregnancy, I just don't see the same body!?

i have four children and my weight is less now than it was before i had them. i guess i was just lucky. Try swimming, and bike riding, they are very good exercises for all areas of the body.

I breastfeed and it is important to note that breastfeeding moms return to their pre-pregnancy weight much faster than non-breastfeeding moms. This is due to the body using up all those pleasant fat reserves in the production of milk (which is the reason the fat reserves were there in the first place).

My DD is 8 months and I was back to pre-pregnancy weight by 3 months. I continued to lose weight so that I am now under my pre-pregnancy weight and am at a all-time target. Needless to say, I'm thrilled.

That being said, abdominal muscles DO stretch significantly during pregnancy. Breastfeeding, watching calories, etc. will not get the muscles back to what they once were alone. Only exercising those muscles can do this. And, even then, most women do not find the muscles to be 100% what they were.

While I'm quite happy with my post-baby body, I have accepted that some parts of me have improved and some are just different.

Realize that you do not look the same as you did pre-pregnancy because we cannot stop the hands of time. Even though you had a baby, you are also getting older. You cannot possibly look the exact same as you did before hand. Just be satisfied that you weight the same. I am happy with that after 2 kids. Needless to say my tummy will never look the same.

When you have a child your body changes, it also changes as you get older. You will never look the same way that you did. You carry the weight in different places. You do not need to be the same shape you were before you had children, as long as you are healthy and taking care of yourself that is all that matters.
