Well, I wouldn't be so quick to trust what people on here say. A therapist is just someone who helps you figure things out. They don't give you answers.
Where I live there is something called the Community Services Board. They offer therapy and other such things based on income. If you have really been disowned and are independant of your parents you'd pay $5 a month where I live to go somewhere like that.
As far as the whole, "I'm garbage" line. Do you really feel like your garbage? Because it just sounds like self-pity to me. I personally always hated it when people told me that, but...
If you still live with your parents, and if you do I'm guessing you are in school, talk to.... a school counselor. Yes they are pretty much useless individuals in the mind of a high school student and pretty much in general. Yet they might steer you in the right direction. At the very least they might be able to get your parents involved.
There's also crisis lines. Talk lines. Suicide lines. etc. etc.
There's always the hospital. However I wouldn't suggest that unless you're really going insane. $900 doctor bills for temporary emotional fits aren't worth it.

Keep a journal. Write in it each time you are upset or don't undertand. Write in it as if you were talking to someone. Be angry. Be quizzical. Be understanding. Be faithful. Be happy. Be elated. Be sad. Be meloncholy.
Look back at your entries once in a while. See how your mood changes. Objectively look at your feelings of past and deduce how you could have handled that situation better. It's better therapy than some quack.

Try your church. They often offer free or little cost counseling. If you are in school, try your counselor there... That's what they are for. If you are in college, you may want to check out their services. They often have free services for students'employees. Also there is a catholic charities around my area. They offer these services on a scale base (based off your income) And! You can lie about the amount you make. They don't check. You also do not have to be catholic to go the catholic charities because they do not do religious counseling. Good luck.

Are you in school? If so talk to a school counselor, and they can get you some help. If your parents won't help, have you considered grandparents or an aunt, uncle, or other relative who could either help, or help you get your parents' help? Good luck to you. ;)
