Most laws allow a minor (probably 17 or 18 in most states) to cancel a contract at will and not be liable for any money due. Therefore, I would guess that Cingular will require a parents' signature or that you be on the parents' plan until that age.

I believe the age is 18 without a parent's signature. You could always get a Go-Phone PYP (Pick your Plan) that offers Unlimited M2M and N&W for a reasonable rate. Also, once you are 18, the carrier will probably require a deposit since you have no credit. Sorry, but this is how the Wireless Industry works.

i don't think it has anything to do with age, more or less your credit rating, and since most ppl under 18 don't have any credit your going to need another signature.

if your not 18 you need to be on your parents plan. as soon as you reach 18 you can go on your own plan.
