Queen is great but not the most influential.
The Beatles shaped a generation and I can't pick one song that did it, probably ten songs fall in that category.
HOWEVER, Buddy Holly influenced The Beatles to write and arrange their own music, so I would have to say Buddy Holly was the most influential in this instance.
Peggy Sue is probably the song that did it for him. A mixture of country, pop and rock n roll all in one. Buddy Holly was a genius and died way too young. I think he could have made amazing strides in his genre and maybe could have surpassed Elvis as the true King of Rock n Roll.
my opinion of course..

Most people would say the Beatles, but there is an argument that the Beatles never would have come along without Buddy Holly, one of the most popular rock & roll singers of the 1950's. However, there were other musicians similar to Buddy Holly, so I think the Beatles would have been "The Beatles" anyway. Queen is completely out of the question- they are not as critically acclaimed as either the Beatles or Buddy Holly, nor did their music influence many other important bands. Almost every rock musician nowadays was influenced by the Beatles, either directly or indirectly, through an influence of theirs who was influenced by the Beatles. Queen just didn't have that kind of impact.
My favorite Beatles song is "I am the Walrus" on the "Magical Mystery Tour" Soundtrack, but to get an introduction to the Beatles, I'd recommend the "Rubber Soul" album. It's the turning point in their career (when they started taking drugs), so it's like a midpoint between the jangly pop-rock of their early albums and the denser experimental music of the later ones.

Buddy Holly because he was one of the early pioneers of modern music without whom the beatles would not have found such a wide audience and acceptance thereby not going on to further inspire. That is not to put queen out of the running at all but I think it is too early to say specifically what and how much influence they have had on music.
Best song? for Buddy I suppose it should be Peggy Sue but I have others I like for diff reasons. For the Beatles, it depends which mood I am in but I love the minor chords in Norwegian Wood. I also love Obla di obla da (is that actually the title??!!). The Beatles are becoming a bit like Elvis now in that you hear tunes and often dont even realise they are a Beatles song. Many seem so timeless. More so than Buddy Holly. But I stand by my answer!! Favourite of queens? It has to be Bohemian Rhapsody. So Operatic. For other reasons I love Who wants to live forever too.

I think you have to understand that when Holly was about it was so new. He gave rock 'n' roll Melody. The Beatles were the most influential after him. If you were a Holly fan you probably can sing 90% of his songs as with The Beatles. Not many other modern bands can you say that about.

the Beatles probably have inspired more due to a larger global market than buddy holly had. Queen just made it big during their generation but never dominated as the beatles did. Just look at how many covers of their songs have been done.
As for their best track,
I'm a sucker for Penny Lane or Maxwells Silver Hammer, but then I am weird

properly, first of all, we would desire to ask what you're asking became into being inspired. And, frankly, the communities you have prepare impact like each and every thing. team 2 became into probable extra influential in basic terms through Beatles + Black Sabbath influencing the two best genres interior the international: pop/rock and steel+subgenres. Chuck Berry and pal Holly inspired distinctive song in many cases, nevertheless. based on once you're going with the help of association, team a million would desire to be seen influential through fact that is not a wild assumption that team a million fairly inspired The Beatles alongside with each and every thing else they did. yet for direct impact, team 2 for constructive.

The Beatles IMO. But then again the fact they performed in the 50 before queen and all the buzz about them, the break up, the fact they all had a solo carrier does tell us something. Moreover Freddy was bisexual, so not everybody was that approving of him.
I like Hey Jude from the Beatles and You Don't Fool Me from Queen.

The Beatles had the biggest impact, but Buddy Holly (among others) paved the way. Songwriting, prodution, arrangements, etc. Queen was great too, but I wouldn't call them terribly influential.
Hard to pick one favorite song, for any of them. They all had a lot of good ones!
