It's been 2 weeks?
Unless they told you specifically that they'll call you back and not to call them... you should call back and ask if they have made a decision...
Doesn't hurt to show that you really want this job.

This was the dilema that I had just went through about 2 weeks ago. This company asked me to wait for their response for a period of 2 weeks and they would get back with me if I was selected. The wait was agonizing, but to make things worst they said if I wasn't on the selection process they would not let me know anything!! This was a bigger drag. This company was a big 3 auto company, that did not give me the respect of saying that I would not go further. I qualified for the position and did everything to let the company know that I was the person for the job.
I let go of the idea and started to look for another position which I am interviewing for now. Looking for a job is a process and takes patience. I figure that when I am not called back for a postion than that position was not for me and not me for it. And that is how I deal with job hunting.

I would follow up with a phone call to show interest but don't keep calling. Show you're interest, but you don't want to appear desperate or that this job is your only option.
The fact that they haven't called you back isn't necessarily a reflection on you. It might be, but don't assume that. Don't count yourself out let them tell you no.
I've found the hiring process to be irregular, in some places, it's glacial. Others, it's quick. Keep in mind that it is the summer and a lot of people are on vacation. Decisions might wait until everyone has weighed in on the candidates.
Hope that helps.

It is possible that they have found a person that fits the position much better than you do, although they have called your references. Also, they could still be in the process of deciding who should be the best candidate for the position. If it kills you to wait, why don't you give them a call and ask them on the status on the position.

You probably didn't get it. Sorry. Make sure after you have had an interview for a job you are interested in to send a follow up letter that same day. It helps. Apply for more than one job at a time.

Do you think you have experienced the " Tap on the Shoulder " or "The Nod " or the sexist " Pat on the Bum " ? ( figure of speach ) ... If you havent they most certainly had someone lined up for it - Usually at this time of year the person is on holiday, they are waiting to see if the person accepts the position. Sit tight. ! Dont harass them by calling every 2 minutes to ask.... who know's there may be a cancellation..Good Luck...

Make a follow up call. If they haven't decided to hire somebody else, it will look good that you called back, although, next time call the next week after the interview.
