What exactly do you mean by that?
If you talk about why no other frquencies are used: This is not as some believe because the frequencies in the radiation are the only ones to heat water, but because they lie within a frequency range which is otherwise unused.
If you talk about why there are no combined microwave/normal ovens, my answer is: There kind of are. There are actually microwave ovens with a builtin grill. Check the link below. (The first Google result for microwave with grill)

Microwaves causes currents to flow in metals, these currents may heat the metal hot enough to cause a fire. Therefore, it is not a good idea to use metal containers in a microwave.
Thats the reason why we use microwavable dishes. Moreover u can use certain dishes in a microwave like wood ..but for less minutes.

you don't desire to easily prepare dinner any meat, fish or fowl in a microwave.
