This has been the arrangement for some time. After school, my kid is looked after by my mum. Just that I cant stand the way my mother interrupts me while I am talking to my kid. She does this a lot. And no matter how many times I have told her to stop it, she doesnt. Then, some times when i correct my kid, she says stuff that I didnt correct my kid soon enough, I shld have corrected the kid when kiddo was younger. Sometimes, she is also very rude to me. URGH! What do I do? I cld quit work but I would be super duper bored. There isnt very good childcare near where I live.

I wish that I cld ignore her but its hard cos perhaps her opinion matters a lot to me (as stupid as her opinions normally are). Then for some reason, I get super riled up. I keep telling her to buzz off when I am spending time alone with my daughter.....and she gets upset and sad when i do that.

About ten years ago I heard some make a statement about including your mother as being one of your best friends because "one day you might need childcare." Try to be a bit more tolerable with you mother. Sounds like there's more love and caring there than hate.

Be happy that your mom is there to help you raise your child. My mom passed away three years ago and know i don't have her to help me when i need it. Mothers always try to help just wait until you become a gradma you will the same way.

If you don't have to work, I might suggest to quit. You might find that its not as boring as you think.I am a stay at home mom and I enjoy it very much. I can do things with my children ,clean and organize my home, have dinner ready by a decent time and never have to answer to anyone but myself. I get to work in my pajamas. ITS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
