If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Yes, I knew these 2 sisters, who had extremely bad acne...and they were poor...they tried a Mary Kay Facial Cleansing system and shared it...since they had mostly oily skin...and their zits starting fading and even old acne scars...however, incidentally, I tried the same thing years before and I did not like the bad reaction I had to Mary Kay, after months of being on it...I actually got Acne and I only usually get a few pimples...but I learned from a few die-hard Mary Kay fans, that they swear by it as the best thing that happened to their acne (better than Proactiv) but it's NOT that cheap, so get some of their free samples before you do any real buying!

pro activ will help tremendously - also there are zit poppers out there and it is imperative that she keep her face clean. That means washing it every morning and then really washing it before she goes to bed at night and using a light moisturizer. Blackheads are dirt built up in pores. Try the biore strips for the blackheads and then the pro activ for the acne.

I used Clearasil and it worked for me. She should wash her face twice a day with it and in a week she will have a clear face. At least that happened to me. I used Clearasil like a year ago and I got rid of the acne for ever, I don't use anything then just soap and water for that now.

Proactiv = To expensive and not worth it
Differin = To expensive not worth it
There are severals. I am 20, still acne prone and have tried EVERYTHING I kid you not. The only thing that made my face look any better AT ALL was a face wash that BLEACHED my face. Takes the redness out, but dries out your skin alot.
I don't believe anyones testimonials.

Pro Active works for everyone I have talked to, including myself. Maye if she isn't finding anything that works, she should go get prescription medicine from the dermatologist.
