I know some one who was ripped off last year in Cyprus buying a property off plan, it never got built and they never got there money back. Also check the deeds because nobody actually knows who owns what land and if Cyprus unifies there will be a lot of land grab and Cypriot residents laying claim to the land that your property is built on!
