Ok I am updating my resume to try to find another receptionist position somewhere (that pays more!) & for the Objective I am completely clueless on what I should write there that sounds professional enough. I want to include something about me being a very easy-going person who gets along w/ just about everyone & that I am willing to learn anything. Anyone have any suggestions on something I could insert?

ALSO....

When they ask where you see yourself in ___ years I know they are referring to within the company. WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD RESPONSE FOR THAT? I'm just looking to be & stay a receptionist....wouldn't want to be a manager or anything cause I don't think I could handle it. I'm more a follower than a leader.

I can't get a 2nd part-time job either cause my schedule changes depending on the time of year (in season or not...etc.) & it would be hard for me to find somewhere that would be able to work around it. I'm sorry but I'm a bit of a snob & refuse to work at Walmart or anything involving food! Our company is also merging w/ another sometime next year & everyone here is uncertain as to how this is going to affect us all (including our jobs). I'm looking for another job just in case, I'd rather be safe than sorry!

My friend is a receptionist and as an objective her resume states

To obtain a clerical or related position in which I may be able to utilize my skills and have career and personal growth.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Seems to me from reading your post that your objective is to find a job that pays well, provides an opportunity to learn more, in a professional and dignified setting. And in .... years you want to see yourself at least keeping up with inflation, and becoming a more valuable asset to your company. make sense?
