Several players may run good and fast behind the ball and although there are several Africans in Europe that can go so fast, the difference is made as when you can go fast and still have total control of the ball... one player in overall impresses me doing that and his name is Robinho, plays for Real Madrid, he is a wonderful scorer, fast and above all agile, like few are and as he gets on a run with the ball in his left foot no one can catch him... besides, if you catch him he may give you a hard time because his fantasy and dribbling skills are superb as well

I Honestly think djibril cisse or thierry Henry are the fastest players although a lot of African players are extremly fast.

I say Ronaldinho because speed in sports has to do with other factors as well. Proof of speed: tricks and footwork in soccer is mostly speed because it's all about getting the ball after faking the guy. Who is most known for his footwork and tricks (and rightly so)?
