sexually and we are fine for 3wks then fighting for another 3wks its crazy he is a recovering drug addict clean for 15yrs but he is still working his steps and his best friend says he is working them for me because he is tired of coming back to me and there is no future , his friend also says that sex is his new addiction and when he is through with that I'm through. I haven't heard any of this from the horses mouth do you think this could be true and he's just not ready to tell me yet , or does it sound like maybe the friend wants me for his self or if you have any info on dating a recovering addict please give me some insight or a web site . Thanks

Im not saying recovering addicts should not be given a chance at normalsy, but both of you have some serious issues to deal with before you can commit to one another. Your self esteem seems to be pretty low if you allow yourself to be with someone for so long just because the sex is poppin! Get you all together before you begin to tackle a relationship with so many issues. A stronger more confident you, makes for a stronger relationship!

Being an off and on relationship, yes sex is keeping him coming back, but as you also are experiencing that there has to be more than good sex to keep him...addiction has a way of creating other dysfunctions in ones life...off one thing on another...you've been around this person long enough to know its not going anywhere..enjoy the sex but find someone else if you want a healthy relationship...good luck.

your the only one that can answer this question,in your heart think about it a long time,if sex is all you have you don't really have anything anymore,move on and then if things have really changed down the road if it is meant for you to be together you will,the friend may be trying to let you know it is time for you to move on,on the other hand it could be that he is interested,your heart should tell you what to do.
