I'm thinking the same thing.. but I honestly believe that... time will help and unfortunately for the man you will meet.. he will have to prove himself even more than before... but if he's genuine and really loves you.. then it shouldn't be a problem.. on the other if that man has bad intentions.. you'll know quicker ...
From personal experience.. I know that man right now are at the bottom of my list as I am hurting too bad.. but I know for a fact.. one day I'll meet someone.. . one day at a time... and don't forget.. talk to your man.. explain to him that you've been hurt because of this and that.. if he's seriously interested.. he'll understand and try to help you in any way he can...
I believe man and woman are meant to be together.. maybe not a lifetime.. but companionship is necessary in our life... so go for it !!!.. enjoy life.. you don't know what is ahead... but you will never know if you are not trying...
sounds funny from someone that is still hurting so much to say something like this.. but I'm not talking with my heart right now.. but with my head !...
Best of luck !

You have to want your dreams to come true more than be scared of your nightmares...overcome those things that have hurt you in the past and realize that nothing will ever hurt you as they once did....My heart was broken and it was extremely painful, I think it was so unbearable because I didn't expect to have gone through such heart ache, but after accepting that nothing is written in stone, continue to love life to the fullest and such happiness and joy will follow...that I can't help to open my heart back up because its the only way to enjoy the gift of love.

You have to. You can't continue to beat yourself up over what some jerk did to you. Your best chances may go by, and you won't even know what those potential relationships could have been. I know it's easier said then done, but consider what happens when you do find someone and your X finds out, don't you think it'll send his head spinning? I bet it does, isn't that a sort of good payback for ruining your life? Good luck to ya!

Just keep in mind that they are not all the same! Also remember, that if you never take a chance on love, you will difinitly never have it again! There are no guarantees in life but if you take it slowly you will eventually open your heart to the love of your life. We've all been there and done that, yet life goes on, good luck to you!

Try to start slowly into a new relationship and allow a friendship to develop first. Then remind yourself that this guy is different and that you won't punish him for something done in the past by another guy.
