Try TV tuner cleaner. Then run the switch back and forth a few times. If that doesn't work, you may have a loose wire and will need to open up the circuit plate cover on the back and re-solder the wires. Good luck!

It's just a little dirty. Dust and corrosion builds up in the contact points. Get a can of contact cleaner from Radioshack and spray it liberally inside the switch taking care not to get any on the pick guard. This should do the trick.

A good way is to flick the switch on and off really fast for about 30 secs and if this doesnt work then use contact cleaner.
This worked for my Les Pauls selector switch and some of my other guitars!

Go to Radio Shack and get some circuit cleaner. Spray it out real good. If it still doesn't work, replace it...

take the switch out and check the wires, if its loose or if it has a bad spot in it solder it, unless you dont feel comfortable doing it have someone else like an electrician do it

iopen it up and let some-one with an idea have a luck, donpt go messing if you aint got a clue- you'll cry for days like I did with my musicman 5 string stingray.
