Yes, you can train a guinea pig to use a litter box—but please note that this will require lots of time and patience! If you would like to try litter-box training your guinea pig, please understand that your guinea pig may never learn to use the litter box properly and will more likely have accidents. Have patience. Guinea pigs, just like other house pets as cats and dogs, prefer not to wet the area where they eat and especially where they sleep. They will instead go out of their sleeping corners to do
First of all.. I hope that the cage that you are using is adequate. As a rule of thumb, you’ll need to provide a minimum of four square feet of cage space per guinea pig—but please try to get as large a cage as possible. You’ll need a solid-bottom cage—no wire floors, please, as they can irritate your pets’ feet. Plastic-bottom “tub cages” with wire tops also make great guinea pig homes. Never use a glass aquarium, due to the poor ventilation that it provides.
Start the litter-box training process in a very small area in the guinea pig's cage. Place a small litter box (I believe I would use a medium size plastic dog dish) in a corner of your guinea pig's cage. Try to place the box in the CORNER of the cage that your guinea pig preferred to use as a bathroom. Put some fecal pellets inside the box to help your guinea pigs get the idea. You may also put a pinch of hay to a corner of the box to encourage your guinea pig to use it.
When you see your guinea pig do its business in the litter box, give its favorite treat as a REWARD. Don't be frustrated if you see that your guinea pig sits in the box, eats the hay you've placed in it, and do nothing that you expected from it, because guinea pigs often eats and defecates in the same time. Eating the hay will stimulate your guinea pig's digestive system and finally may cause it to use the litter-box as a bathroom. If your guinea pig prefers to sleep in its litter box rather that use it as a toilet, you may want to provide it with a more attractive bed than one it has . Also try using a different bedding material.

What you do is take the litter box and put it where the piggie goes to the bathroom the most, put some of its "soild" bedding onto it so it knows it scent is there. Only time will tell, some pigs just don't use it so don't be upset if your pig doesn't. Also I read some where that you should do it when there young.

get a corner litterbox from the pet store, they are shaped like a triangle, get some cat litter (non clumping) and some puppy potty training spray. put about an inch of litter in the tray and spray twice directly on the litter and place a few of your guniea pig poopy drops in the tray....clean it out every other day and repeat...they will eventually get the idea

I guess they don't like water.

There's a lot of information out there, and you'll get it from people who actually care about your question, unlike many of the people here on Yahoo.
It CAN be done... good luck!

Didn't know that was possible. Cedar shavings covering the floor of his pen and he'll go wherever and whenever he wants. Just don't forget to clean it once in a while.
