I like to see something new and different. My wife is typically trying new things and I think it makes her even more sexy.

I'm a woman, but feel compelled to answer.
Clothes that flatter your body are best. If you buy classic cuts in tops and bottoms and stay away from the latest trend, you will be able to update your style with accessories such as belts, sweaters, jackets, jewels, shoes, scarves, etc.
Clothes are expensive and should last longer than a year unless you outgrow them.
Guys (and people) generally find a girl attractive when she is dressed in clothes that flatter her shape. By choosing the right cuts, you can slim areas of choice, or accentuate curves where you want to feel softer and curvier.
Colours, no matter what the trend, should flatter your skin tone and hair/eye colour.

i dont mind seeing a chick in a t-shirt and jeans, im not to big on the girls that try to look like someone else all the time, 10lbs of make-up a low rider jeans, and spaghettie strap tops are ok to look at, but if you feel that is how you have to dress to get looked at your gunning for the wrong person

Your clothes need to bring out and flatter the beauty of your body and personality. Wear what makes you feel pretty and sexy if that is how you want to feel. Dress for yourself not for others.

I like to see a female who isn't dumb enough to like/not like something just because it is 'last years' style. I also like to see a female who isn't dumb enough to contradict herself (you criticise your friends for being 'last year' so presumably you are doing what is 'this year'? i.e. FOLLOWING someone's lead?). I also like to see a female who isn't dumb enough to use mindless abbreviations (do U C wot I mean?). I also like to see a female who isn't dumb enough to wear what she is told to wear but wears what she feels comfortable in - regardless of fashion (a superficial and narcissistic past-time if ever there was).

Personally, what a girl wears isn't that important to me; what is important is how she speaks and carries herself.

be yourself and don't over do it. especially with make up. i like a girl that's more naturally beautiful. same goes with clothing. less is more.
