If by "bank account" you mean checking or savings, as many as you want, and it has nothing to do with credit score. If you mean credit card accounts, you can open as many as creditors are willing to let you open (a lot), and if you have many open, your credit score will go down because creditors will view you as a credit risk.

You can open as many bank accounts as you want and this does not affect your credit score. Only if you have a line of credit or credit cards with that particular bank. What does affect your credit score is outstanding loans, your payment history, any late pays (over 30 days), bankruptcies, your debt to income ratio, number of charge accounts you have open. They look at number of good accounts in standing and any bad accounts in standing. You can run a free credit report each year and will tell you your status. For about 10 - 15.00, they can also tell you your credit score.

You can have as many bank accounts as you have money for. The number of accounts has no effect on one's credit score.
